The name of the exhibition comes from me increasingly treasuring the painting act. The work in itself is plenty.
I concentrate on the movements of my hand while drawing and painting and how my body is placed in connection to the canvas. Can one see and feel these things in the ready art works? To what extent can one feel the touch as a viewer?
Memories hidden in my body make themselves visible. The historic sphere of the body and something more direct and present get intermixed.
I use several materials and methods. As starting points the art works have a common need to make notes on being human. I want to present a suggestion and hope to leave space for the viewers to experience in their way.
’No one said: This is plenty’ also refers to the classic poem ’The Valley’ (‘Dalen’ in Swedish) by Solveig von Schoultz.
I thank the Swedish Cultural Foundation for supporting the exhibition
