Hei,
Carla Lundell treasures breathability, experiments and the un-logic. The colour of the canvas or the paper plays a significant role in her art works. She prepares the canvas with glue only and this makes room for a softening space.
Touch through the whole process is important for Lundell. She makes her own paper and collects fragments of memories for the paper making process as well.
Her art works are suggestions, and they leave room for the viewer, they want to enable an expanding space and multiple ways of seeing.
Lundell’s way of painting moves from the hinted and ambiguous to the more precise and from movement to stillness and therefore resembles the character of memories.
